How Does Eagle Creek Church Serve the Lee’s Summit and Kansas City Community?

Eagle Creek Church serves the Kansas City area through hands-on outreach teams, twice-a-year Serve Our City projects, and financial partnerships with more than a dozen local ministries — from homeless shelters to domestic violence support to refugee care. Serving the community isn’t a side program; “Make a Difference” is one of the church’s four core purposes.

Each spring and fall, Eagle Creek mobilizes teams for Serve Our City: work days at schools, homes, and local ministry partner sites across the Kansas City area. Projects range from repairs and painting to cleanup and campus improvements — practical help, no strings attached.

Eagle Creek’s community outreach group serves in the community at least once a month — making serving the city a regular rhythm, not a once-a-year event. You can join anytime through the outreach groups directory.

Through the Kingdom Builders fund, Eagle Creek financially supports Kansas City-area ministries doing year-round frontline work, including:

  • KC Dream Center — food, clothing, and outreach for under-resourced neighborhoods in Jackson and Wyandotte counties
  • City Union Mission — shelter, meals, and vocational training for people experiencing homelessness
  • Hope House — refuge and advocacy for women and children affected by domestic violence
  • Agape Pamoja — housing, education, and life-skills support for refugees rebuilding lives in Kansas City
  • Eleos Coffee — a coffeehouse ministry serving homeless, trafficked, and addicted neighbors
  • ReHope — housing and restorative care for survivors of human trafficking
  • New Beginnings Women’s Clinic — care and support for unplanned pregnancies
  • KC Girls Academy — a Christ-centered therapeutic boarding school for teen girls
