On your first visit to Eagle Creek Church, you can expect a casual, friendly welcome, a service that lasts about one hour, live worship music, and a practical message from the Bible — with no pressure to participate, give money, or identify yourself as a visitor. Services meet Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 9:00am and 10:30am at 125 SE Stuart Rd in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Here’s a simple walkthrough of the whole experience, from the parking lot to the drive home.
Plan to arrive about ten minutes early, especially if you have kids. That’s enough time to park, check your children in, and find a seat without feeling rushed. Parking is free in the church’s own lot, and there are marked first-time visitor spots — take one, they’re for you!
Wear whatever is comfortable — most people are in jeans. (More on that in “What Should I Wear to Eagle Creek Church?”)
You’ll be greeted at the doors. If it’s your first time, stop by the New Here booth — the team there has a free gift for first-time guests and can answer any question you have. A host can also walk you to the kids’ classrooms if you need directions.
Before you head into the auditorium, grab a free coffee and donut. Really — they’re free, and they’re for you.
Eagle Creek has a safe, fun program called EKids for children from birth through 5th grade, available at every service. On your first visit, swing by the check-in station, where the team will ask for a few details: your name and contact info, your kids’ names and birthdates, and any allergies or special instructions. You’ll get a security tag that matches your child’s, and only you can pick them up. (Full details in “How Does Eagle Creek Church Keep Kids Safe?”)
Prefer to keep your kids with you? They’re always welcome in the service, and a Family Room at the back of the auditorium — with large windows and an audio feed — gives infants and toddlers room to move while you follow the whole service. It’s a comfortable spot for nursing moms too.
A typical service lasts about one hour and includes live worship music (a band leads songs — lyrics are on screen, and you’re free to sing along or just listen) and a message that connects the Bible to real, everyday life.
A few things you will not experience as a guest:
- You won’t be singled out. No one will ask you to stand up, raise your hand, or introduce yourself in front of everyone.
- You won’t be pressured to give money. We will receive an offering — a moment when members give to support the church’s work. As a guest, this isn’t for you. You’re our guest, and nothing is expected.
- You won’t be asked to do anything you don’t understand. Everything is explained as it happens, in plain language.
You’ll be in good company. Eagle Creek was started in 2004 specifically to be a church for people from all walks of life, including people brand new to church or coming back after a long time away. You don’t need to know the songs, own a Bible, or have your life figured out. In fact, we have a free Bible for anyone who would like one. Come as you are is not a slogan here — it’s the plan.
