If you’re new to faith — or just curious about Jesus — your first step at Eagle Creek Church is simply to come to a service (Thursday 6:30pm or Sunday 9:00/10:30am) and let the rest unfold from there. No preparation needed, no vocabulary to learn, no one checking your credentials at the door.
Christianity’s core claim, in plain words: God made you and loves you. Everyone — all of us — has fallen short of God’s standard; the Bible calls that sin. But God loved us too much to leave it there: He sent Jesus, His Son, who lived a perfect life, died on a cross to pay for our sins, and physically rose from the dead. When you trust in what Jesus did — rather than in being good enough — you’re forgiven and given a new life. That decision is called salvation, and it’s a free gift. You can’t earn it; you receive it.
If you want to make that decision, you can pray right where you are — telling God you know you need Him, you believe in Jesus, and you want to follow Him. There are no magic words; it’s the heart that matters.

Beyond the videos, faith grows the way friendships do: time, honesty, and company. Here’s the well-worn path at Eagle Creek:
- Tell someone. Seriously — this is the step people skip. Tell a friend, or come to the front after any service where the prayer team would love to hear it and pray with you. You can also email info@eaglecreekchurch.com.
- Keep coming. Weekly services are how faith gets fed. Thursday counts fully if Sundays are hard.
- Get baptized. Baptism is the public celebration of your decision — read “How Do I Get Baptized at Eagle Creek Church?” and sign up when you’re ready. You’ll get a What’s Next Booklet to guide your growth.
- Join a Community Group. Faith wasn’t designed to be practiced alone. A group gives you people to ask questions with — and Community Groups are made for questions.
- Start reading the Bible. If it’s new to you, start with the Gospel of John — the story of Jesus, written to be understood. A few minutes a day beats an hour once a month.
Then you’re doing it right. Questions aren’t the opposite of faith — they’re usually how it grows. Nobody at Eagle Creek expects you to have everything figured out; the whole church exists to “empower people to become all that God created them to be,” and that’s a process, not a test.
- “I don’t know anything about the Bible.” Neither did anyone, once. Messages are in plain language.
- “My life is a mess.” You’ll fit right in. Church is for people being put back together, not people already polished.
- “Will people pressure me?” No. Every next step at Eagle Creek is an invitation, never a demand.
