OUR PASTORS
Matt and Sheri Harris are the founding pastors of Eagle Creek Church, launching the church in 2004 with a simple but bold dream—to build a life-giving church where people could encounter God, grow in their faith, and take their next steps toward becoming all He created them to be. What began in Lee’s Summit has grown into a multi-campus church serving thousands each week across the Kansas City area.
Matt and Sheri are passionate about people. Whether it’s through Outreach, Kids and Youth Ministry, Community Groups, Worship, or practical Biblical teaching, they love creating environments where individuals and families can flourish. Their vision is to see spiritual transformation spread throughout Kansas City—one life, one home, and one neighborhood at a time.
Family is a huge joy in their lives. They have four children, two wonderful sons-in-law, and their first grandson—who has completely stolen their hearts!
Matt grew up in the Kansas City area and has spent over 30 years in ministry leadership across Illinois, California, and Missouri. Together, he and Sheri continue to lead Eagle Creek with faith, joy, and a deep love for the community they serve.

Arrive ten minutes early your first time to get the kids checked in.
Our services are typically 1 hour long. They’re friendly, encouraging and full of hope. We promise to honor your time. We know it’s valuable!
You’ll be greeted at the doors, and we would love for you to come to the New Here booth where we have a gift just for you.
A host can direct you to classes if you need it, just visit the Welcome Center.
Dress is casual so come in what you feel comfortable in! 🙂
Yes! Grab a free coffee and donut before you head into the auditorium.
Our EKids Jr. ministry provides nursery care for infants through 2 years old and Pre-school classes are available for children ages 3 through Pre-K.
Your kids will have a blast in EKids, which is available for Kindergarteners-3rd grade, or THE LINK, which is for kids in 4th and 5th grade.
EC-YTH happens every Wednesday night at 6:30pm for grades 6-12.
